Guardian Raids and Abyss Dungeons are instances in Lost Ark that have a group of players enter an area to take down a single strong Boss enemy. In this guide, we’ll go over the best Paladin Builds for Raids. The primary goal of the skill selections is focusing on the use of Single Target skills and Tripods that deal more damage to Boss type enemies. Also making use of party synergy buffs to improve the effectiveness of your groups skills.
These battles start out fairly easy, but by the later stages of the game are the most difficult content the game has to offer. You will definitely want to choose a good group to attempt to clear this content and progress your character further. This guide will help you choose the best Stats, Skills, Tripods, Runes, and Strategies for getting in and out with ease.

Support Raid Build
The primary role of Paladins in raids is to support your party members. They way that this is accomplished is through mitigating damage, providing an attack power buff, and applying a debuff on the boss that increases it’s damage taken.
The Paladin is better off aiding their allies than being a sole damage dealer. The Identity Skill: Blessed Aura is always the preferred skill to use as it will provide a damage mitigation buff and heals when used.
However, it can be difficult to have good positioning as the auras need to encompass all party members in order to gain the buffs. Standing at the side of the boss will be necessary to ensure that back attackers, front attackers, and ranged party members receive the buffs and heals. Also, the Mana Regeneration buff from Heavenly Blessings is shorter than the Bards Mana Regen buff.
Finally, Paladins have a good ranged counter skill for bosses with Holy Sword.
Strategy
To be an effective party member in Raids here’s the general strategy for Support Paladins:
Always land a hit on the boss with Light Shock when it is available to maintain the damage Debuff.
Rotate the usage of Heavenly Blessings and Wrath of God to provide the Attack Power Buff for your party members. The buff provided does not stack, it will only refresh the duration. This will also provide improved mana regeneration to the party.
Use Holy Land on cooldown to provide a 25% damage reduction to party members standing in the zone. Use Godsent Law to provide a 70% damage reduction to party members for emergencies only.
Furthermore, Holy Sword or Executor’s Sword are good skills that can counter when the boss turns blue. Holy Sword with the second Tripod: Outburst of Light, allows it to become a good ranged counter.
Finally, Auto Attack the boss when there is nothing else going on.
Some alternatives that could be useful include:
- Holy Protection – Tripod 2: Robust Protection instead of Purify for bosses that do not have any debuffs needing to be cleansed.
- Punishment – Tripod 2: Concussion instead of the Skill Holy Land for bosses that have a Stagger or Part Destruction mechanic.
Combat Stats
There are 2 ways that you could allocate stats for Paladins as explained in the Raid guide.
Specialization / Swiftness (55%/45%) which helps with the identity gauge generation and damage from the buff, as well as providing movement speed and cooldown reductions.
Swiftness / Specialization (85%/15%) which is a faster movement and attack speed playstyle with faster cooldowns.
Engravings
Mandatory
The Awakening engraving allows for more usages in Raids and more frequent usage. Using the awakening skill also fills up the Identity Gauge very quickly so that you can use the Blessed Aura more often. Blessed Aura is also a no brainer as you will now heal when using the Identity Skill. Finally, Expert provides increased healing and efficiency of shields it also will come in handy for party members who are below 50% HP.

Optional
Spirit Absorption is a great option to reduce cooldowns on skills. Judgment (Lv. 1. only) will help fill the Identity Gauge faster when you use Fencing Skills. Heavy Armor Equipment is nice if strictly playing support. Otherwise, if you’d prefer to be a DPS, take Grudge instead of Heavy Armor Equipment.

Runes
Runes are extra items that improve skills. You can equip Runes from the list of ones you’ve collected. They are usable across all the characters on the same server.
